Swindon Literature Festival

Swindon Literature Festival

Trevor Organ and Pete White’s Suitcase Circus at Swindon Festival of Literature.

I’m in at the very start of the festival, the Dawn Chorus – a performance event which starts at dawn, 5.30am.
The festival director Matt Holland says… we are an established, thriving, well-organised, and independent Festival. Our passion and founding spirit is rooted in love of the word, good reading, exploratory talk, finding out about things, making connections, and the notion that life is for learning, discoveries, and, where possible, pleasure.

Authors and speakers who have appeared at previous Festivals include David Attenborough, Ian McEwan, Andrew Motion, Germaine Greer, Melvyn Bragg, Kate Adie, Fay Weldon, Wendy Cope, Will Self, Tony Benn, Joan Bakewell, Philip Pullman, Carol Ann Duffy, Michael Morpurgo, Richard Dawkins, and Pete White Suitcase Circus!

I previously performed at the festival in 2001, and no, of course I don’t feel out of place in that list of luminaries.

the 2014 website will be up and running soon
